Some internet or Cyber Cafe have hardware keylogger attached to the CPU(see the image to give yourself an idea).It is usually in shape of a pin sometimes black.This pin or Keylogger is actually a connection that saves all your data you enter on the system.It is powerful enough.It records every action you do on that system.It possess a high risk to your privacy,passwords or any personal data you enter.
Another sort of keylogger other than hardware keyloggers are software keyloggers.Sounds Pathetic? Yep,It is actually indeed.
These software keyloggers are similar to hardware ones but the difference is just these are softwares and not hardwares like pins.Software keyloggers are but way more dangerous than hardware keyloggers.Some of them support remote installaiton which means that a person can easily monitor your PC anywhere from the world.
It is difficult for the victim to detect keyloggers presence as it runs in complete stealth mode, It hides itself from task manager, startup etc.Once the keylogger is installed, it is almost impossible for the victim to trace it.
These keyloggers can be pushed into your PC even from just a link which you may accidently click.So,avoid clicking unknown links or downloading softwares which are pirated(Download from a trusted source or user) or cracked by Strangers.
